Weapon: Cirane wields duel short swords through which she channels her attacks, she does not launch the attacks from her blades but instead the attack stays with the blade till contact with the target occurs. The gems glow when she uses one of her pokemon based moves, but not for normal hack-and-slash type attacks or a quick defensive maneuver.
~Pro(s): Good for up-close-and-personal attacking style(short range), they are lightweight and easy to maneuver
~Con(s): Lacking for long and mid range attacks (if Cirane needs to attack a far off enemy she must run up to the opponent), her fighting style can leave her open for attacks as she often takes long(nearly exaggerated) swipes and jabs
Armor: Light silicon like fiber makes up her clothes, and it is resistant to high heat resulting from either the elements or a fire based attack(causing half damage) but is weak against extreme cold, hail storms or an ice based attack(doubled damage), her shoulder pads and leg guards (which also serve as sheathes for her swords) are made of a light weight, reinforced aluminum type metal which is highly resistant to heat. The visor gives something of an enhanced reality, able to identify incoming attacks, target individuals, and important locations. It can not however, analyze anything on its own, it only utilizes previously compiled information from a research database combined with visual context.

Biography: Melody was the only child of the Fairka family, a renowned line of pokemon researchers, and grew up ready to take up the tradition. She received a pokemon to assist her for when she would travel to research sites, when she was ten years old, a Dratini whom she named Xarie, who evolved quickly to a dragonair within a year of them being together. The two were near inseparable which was the key of starting out with a Pokémon at a young age, to make sure a researcher would have a reliable assistant and protector on expeditions. Melody was home schooled, and after receiving Xarie she had specific lessons added into her curriculum, in her case she was following close to her parents footsteps with the study of ancient Pokémon legends, including the mythological creatures themselves, the stories, and people who worshiped them, in the Sinnoh region. Melody first started going on expeditions with her parents at the age of 16.

Melody's parents and her were on an expedition in the Sinnoh mountain range shortly after Melody's 18th birthday. It was a cold day in the mountains, there was still plenty of snow even in late spring but you could tell much was starting to melt. The family trio had found a particularly interesting stretch of ruins in a mountain valley about the legendary pokemon Dialga and Palkia, everyone had been so interested in decoding the ruins that no one noticed the rumbling of an oncoming avalanche before it was too late. Melody looked up first, stepping back in awe and fear as the snow hurtled towards her and her family. Within seconds there was no sign of the ruins or the Fairkas.

That was how she died, hypothermia had set in as Melody lay bleeding under the packed snow and ice, something had severed a major vein along her arm but she couldn't feel it, the cold had set in so fast after her warm clothing had been shredded. She thought for sure she was a goner, but then she was in a room. It was strange what all happened, signing the contract, watching Xarie die before her eyes, and holding a crystal in her hands hearing a faint cry of the Dragonair she had loved dearly.

She was back looking up at the mass of snow coming down the mountainside, she saw her parents still looking down at the ruins, and all of a sudden the crystal in her hands glowed, a person dressed in garb much like that of a Dragonair had appeared in front of her. The woman quickly grabbed Melody, rushing in a seemingly inhuman speed away from the path of the avalanche. Melody screamed out calling her parent's names but to no avail. She watched as they and the ruins were enveloped in snow.

Cirane Lanski, as Melody later learned the name of her Guardian, and Melody both wandered in the mountains for a while after that, Cirane had uncanny instincts but also a bit of a brash humor as Melody soon learned. They fought off the Corrupt that came after the Crystal which Melody kept close at all times, throughout which the two grew close. Melody thinks of Cirane as the sister she never had and Cirane is as loyal as a dog to her master.

A while after they made it out of the mountains and attempted to return to a somewhat normal life Melody received the e-mail from the Covenant to go and live there, also she was offered to continue her research there with their highly advanced labs. She and Cirane decided it was better than nothing, some breaks from the Corrupted was a nice thought, and the two moved to the AIF where Melody now continues her family's research but has expanded it from the study of Legends of the Sinnoh region to include that of the Hoenn region using the AIF as a base for her expeditions and bringing back interesting relics to analyze in the lab.

Additional Information:
Melody actually takes her research veeeery seriously, if anything it's the only thing she takes seriously...
Her parent's death was very traumatic for her, her way of coping was to act as cheery as she could
She's often seen visiting the infirmary with small cuts and bruises, and coming back with small baked items and candies...*SHOT*
Mel loves sweets, in fact, you'd probably be able to bribe her with some if you ever needed her to do something for you
Melody considers herself to be bisexual, preferring neither boys nor girls, just whoever she finds to be attractive both physically and emotionally
The purple section of the visor Cirane wears can change transparency, and with doing so removes any extra information displayed at that time
Cirane, unlike Melody, loves spicy food but when you give her something she likes you won't be able to win her over as easily as Mel
Cirane dislikes her height, and wishes that she was at least a few inches taller, she is rather self conscious about it. (Refuses to wear heels)
Cirane is bi-curious right now, she leans toward guys but doesn't deny being attracted to some women
Cirane always sleeps with socks on if she was wearing them that day, Melody can't stand to see socks on someone who's sleeping. Result: a sockless Cirane and a smug Melody.
Whenever Mel is working on something in the lab for her research Cirane is usually doing one of three things: hovering over Mel's shoulder, playing guard at the door(only letting in people who are confirmed by Melody herself to be able to come in) or napping by the door
